Fees and Insurance
Fees
Both for individuals and for couples, a session lasts 50-minutes and my fee is $300. This is commensurate with other therapists practicing with similar levels of experience and expertise. I have a limited number of sliding scale slots and welcome you to discuss your financial needs with me if you need a reduced fee. If, after our initial consultation, I am unable to accommodate your financial needs, I will be happy to make a tailored referral. Payment is collected at the end of each month and is preferred by credit card using Square (one of the only HIPPA-compliant electronic payment platforms), which charges an additional 3% fee to the monthly total. Sending checks monthly is also an option.
Insurance
Similar to many other mental health professionals, I currently do not accept insurance. However, if your health insurance plan allows you to choose an out-of-network provider, you could be reimbursed up to 80%. I can provide you with the necessary documentation for you to submit a reimbursement claim and am happy to discuss this option further with you. In addition, psychotherapy is usually covered by pre-tax Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and Health Spending Accounts (HSAs). Check with your accountant regarding your individual tax situation.
